Maison Albert Sounit
Mr Albert Sounit founded the domaine in the 1930s at Château Jeunet in the heart of the Crémant de Bourgogne region, at Rully in the Côte Chalonnaise.
The late 19th century château enjoys extensive 120 metre subterranean cellars in which to mature its sparkling wines. In 1993, Mr Albert Sounit sold the business to his Danish importer Mr Knud Kjellerup.
1999 saw the first release of the 'Grande Cuvée', which is only made in exceptional vintages such as 2001, 2005 & 2006. 2005 saw the acquisition of 7 hectares of Montagny vineyards, while the domaine supplements its requirements with bought-in fruit from 6 hectares of Mâconnais & Châtillon-sur-Seine vines.
