Harveys
Harveys, for more than 160 years, until 1960, used to purchase sherries in Spain and ship them to their headquarters in Bristol, England. There, they would age and blend the wines in the cellars of a former 13th century monastery, then bottle them.
Once Harveys became the world's best selling sherry they invested in their own vineyards and winery in Spain. Harveys now owns 2,000 acres in the top-rated "Jerez Superior" appellation. The Bristol headquarters are still in England, at Number 12 Denmark Street, and today house a wine museum and Michelin rated restaurant.
