Château du Monthil
Located in Bégadan in the far north of the Médoc, this is a remarkably consistent cru bourgeois property that produces meaty fruit driven clarets at very competitive prices.
There are 20 hectares of vineyards planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (40%), Cabernet Franc (5%), and Petit Verdot (5%). The wine is matured in wooden casks. Dry, with good depth of fruit and excellent medium term cellaring potential.
