Château L'Etoile
Château l'Etoile is situated in the heart of the Graves region of Bordeaux, near to the city itself.
Part of the, Bordeaux-based, Sichel group the wines from this château benefit from the expertise of a large, well-organised wine producing group.
The soils of the vineyards of the château are varied and include pebbles and sand and clay.
The vineyards for the white wines are planted with 45% Sauvignon Blanc and 55% Sèmillon, while the red wine vineyards are planted with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
The whites are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature to preserve the freshness of the fruit. The reds are fermented in stainless steel vats with ";pumping-over"; to extract colour and tannin from the skins of the grapes. The red wine is then aged in typical French oak barriques for 12 months before bottling.
