Domaine Matrot-Wittersheim

Exclusive to Berry Bros & Rudd in the UK, this new 3.5.hectare estate, based in Meursault, was formed by the aunt of Thierry Matrot, Thérèse Matrot,and her daughter, Claudine in 1999. Their production is split 50-50 between red and white.

Thérèse Matrot and Claudine, along with winemaker Gilles Duc, have made an amazing start and have already produced an impressive range of wines. The domaine uses no more than 10% new oak and on the basis of tasting their first two vintages, it has the potential to join the very top flight of Meursault producers.
