Cordoba

Situated high on the slopes of the Heldeberg Mountain range between Somerset West and Stellenbosch, the Cordoba vineyard boasts one of South Africa's most spectacular views over both False and Table Bays in the Cape Peninsula. 30 hectares of vines are planted and there has been meticulous site selection for each different grape variety, with the vineyard benefiting from an unusually varied spread of soils and altitudes. The winemaker is the effervescent Chris Keet. Following training at some of the region's leading estates, his desire is to follow the French philosophy of terroir, showing a total respect for his natural surroundings whilst using the best fruit and the latest winemaking techniques. These wonderful wines are surely the start of an exciting dynasty.
