An exact and proper St Julien, this has the fine balance and sweet delicious fruit for which the commune is famed. It is made, specially for Berrys, to the same recipe as the Château’s second wine Les Fiefs de Lagrange. With a rich, layered nose of currants and tobacco, and a wealth of black fruits and spices on the palate, this is a serious and seductive claret and it makes the finest accompaniment for roast lamb.

Berrys' take on Sir Mark Elder's favourite Bordeaux commune. St-Julien. Made at Château Lagrange, this is seriously grown-up stuff. With spicy blackcurrant fruit and whiffs of tobacco and cedar, it is precise and well-structured. Although it still needs a little bit longer to blossom, it's a fine match for Sunday roasts.
