Palo Cortado de Jerez 1/50, Vides

Located in the old Santiago quarter of Jerez, Vides was founded in 1958 and is currently owned by the grandson of the founder, Don Fernando Leon Manjon. Palo Cortado is an unusual hybrid, essentially initially matured as an Amontillado but then completed in the style of an Oloroso. Light amber gold and rich of flavour, this is an extremely rich wine with notes of vanillin, coffee and dark chocolate.Perfect with olives, nuts and serrano, any tapas in fact! A rare and beautiful beast.
