Intense fruit driven nose with hints of mocca leading on to medium to full bodied palate displaying creamy blackcurrant and liquorice fruit characters as well as very good length.

Rather evolved crimson with a ruby, almost brick edge. Very sweet and alcoholic – the main impressions at this stage. Something rather gamey and intriguing. Good acid balance but the tannins are perhaps a little slight for a great vintage port. Lots of medium term pleasure rather than indomitable ambition. Long enough.
