2001 Ch. Batailley, Pauillac

This continues to justify its status as a real favourite amongst Berrys customers. This has a rich plum colour and a smoky new-oak nose with intense blackcurrants (pointing to its high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon). On the palate soft, ripe tannins envelop this attractive benchmark Pauillac. Even for Batailley this is particularly impressive, offering excellent value and long-term drinking until 2020.
