From the charismatic Dirk Niepoort this supple Port is surprisingly approachable. A sweet, fruity nose with hints of liquorice is complemented by a ripe, spicy palate of blackberry and prunes. Drink 2008-2020.

Raw young purple. Very little nose though there is something inherently velvety about this wine. Voluptuously winy nose with some hint of the heady scent of lilies is followed by massively sweet palate entry, some mineral flavours (reminiscent of Priorat) and only then the tannins. Very well made and powerful. Not a wine to be overlooked!
