1988 Ch. Pétrus, Pomerol

Very full in colour and still extraordinarily youthful looking. On the nose is still rather adolescent but is more open and forward that than the 89 or 90. Full-bodied, rich, and classy on the palate displaying oodles of luxuriant creamy black fruit with hints of minerals, Asian spices and tobacco. Concentrated and complex, this is hard to resist now but will definitely still improve
