2004 Riesling Singerriedel Smaragd Hirtzberger
The Hirtzberger style is more flamboyant and richer than that of Prager. Between them they make the best wines in Austria. The Singerriedel Vineyard always produces a wine of definition, drama and power; it would more than hold its own with Thai cuisine. This is an extraordinary wine with aromas of tobacco-spice, peach and elder flower. The lush mineral and peach flavours unfold through an oily texture leading onto a fantastically long finish.
