Lagavulin Distillers Edition Single Malt Whisky

When Lagavulin decided to produce a secondary cask-finished version, the Distillers' Edition, there were doubters who thought nothing could be a match for the pungent smoke and iodine strength of Lagavulin. Those sceptics were unfamiliar with the intensity of Pedro-Ximenez. The results is a superb malt, big on flavour. Begins with sweetness, and ends with peat, smoke and hints of seaweed. Incredibly long finish, smooth and rounded, with waves of salty dryness. Distilled in 1991.
