Tucked up between Grands Crus Spiegel and Kessler on limestone rich soils, the
Belzbrunnen vineyard shows great symmmetry: pure and racy lime aromas and
flavours, well-balanced by 10 grams of residual sugar. This dry Riesling is
consistently excellent and a lovely match with fish dishes.
Alsace Riesling remains a classic white wine style: its spine-tingling
lime-stony purity couched in a firm structure, the perfect ingredients for a
foodie-wine par excellence. Added to which the Dirlers hand-rear their wines
organically and biodynamically, so even more reason to celebrate!
