This was so good that when one of the team first tasted it, he thought it was
the Grand Vin. This is exotic, floral and aromatic, with cassis and hints of
ginger. The high Merlot proportion (33%), which was so rich this year, gives
the wine an extra roundness in 2005, while the finish is very pure and long.
Remaining true to its St Julien terroir this is very good indeed.
