Another beneficiary of Michel Rolland's magic consulting wand, this sleeping
giant has finally stepped up to the plate in 2005 and made a wine worthy of its
Second Growth classification. Made from marginally more Cabernet Sauvignon than
Merlot, this is appealingly fresh and fragrant on the nose, with vibrant fruit
ranging from blackberry to blueberry. 100% new oak has added a delicious smooth
creamy complexity to the immensely deep, concentrated fruit. This is a sturdier
style of Margaux than some, but it has enormous sex appeal.
