2004 Nuits-St Georges, Clos des Argillières, 1er Cru, P et M Rion

Nobody else in Burgundy has been so meticulous in sorting out grapes in 2004 vintage like Rion. This is one reason, along with the low yields, why the Rions' 2004 are so impressive. Clos des Argillières is a broad shouldered, energetic, classically plum pudding Nuits-St Georges from the vineyard overlooking Patrice’s house. It is very full-bodied though perfectly structured and requires six to eight years for optimum drinking.
