Propiedad is a blend of Garnacha (40%), Tempranillo (35%), Mazuelo (15%) and
Graciano (10%) from Rioja Baja. It is a single-estate wine and the
flagship cuvee of the property, that has been enjoying a renaissance ever since
the acclaimed Alvaro Palacios, of the Priorat fame, turned his attention to his
family property in Rioja. Propiedad nose opens up with mulberry, cloves,
pepper and coffee aromas, and dried herbs notes. Medium-bodied, with polished,
ripe tannins and mouthful of mulberry, spice box, dried herbs, liquorice and
black pepper flavours. Approachable now, yet with great development
potential over the next 8-10 years.
