"As elsewhere, in 2003 Corte Sant'Alda suffered both the heat & the
drought but also a June hailstorm. This single vineyard wine shows warm yet
defined fig & damson aromatics in keeping with the vintage, while the
palate shows the benefit of Corte Sant'Alda's elevated vines, giving the wines
great zip to balance out the lush super-ripe & new oak flavours as well as
impressive concentration for further ageing over the next few years thanks to a
25% drop in average yield."
