"2003 was a heatwave vintage which proved challenging for winemakers. In
Bordeaux the most successful villages were St Estèphe and Pauillac. Les
Tourelles de Longueville has a higher than usual percentage of Merlot and is
very forward, exhibiting juicy, plummy fruit, soft tannins and considerable
length on the finish. Second wines of top châteaux like this have come on in
leaps and bounds and represent excellent value as sources of affordable good
Claret. Try with lamb and hard cheese." (Alun Griffiths MW - BBR Wine
Director)
