2006 Domaine de Coudoulet Syrah, Vin De Pays D'Oc

"Less overtly alcoholic and jammy than New World Shiraz, but without the complexity (or price tag) of the great names of the Northern Rhône, this is a great example of a juicy and delicious Vin De Pays Syrah. Unoaked and gloriously ripe, this is an exuberant expression of Mediterranean sunshine, albeit tempered by the cooler influence from the slopes of the Montagne Noire.
