2003 Barbaresco,'Vigna Erte', Bricco di Neive, Cigliuti

"Aged only in large slavonian botte, this fine wine benefited from the hot summer to give extremely luscious and elegant, super-ripe strawberry and dried fruit flavours. Seems approachable now but would be even better over the next 3-5 years. Excellent with tuna." (David Berry Green - BBR Buyer)

Bricco di Neive. A brighter lighter nose than its younger counterparts. Ripe and friendly - clearly the hot vintage was kind to this vineyard. It is much more approachable with truly lovely ripe fruit. Still pretty uncompromising on the tannin front. I would have some really chewy meat with this.
