" One the finest vineyards in all of Alsace, responsible for Olivier's
scintillating Rieslings as well as for this terrific Vendange Tardive, produced
in exceptional vintage conditions to trigger a large proportion of rich
botrytised fruit (giving highly concentrated, complex juice) as well as
fabulous acidity, thanks to the vineyard's cool aspect & limestone bedrock.
Built for the long haul (20 + years), this delicate yet powerful wine tastes
dry due to perfect balance; the wine has 103 grams of residual sugar (vs 91 for
the 2005) & 13% abv. Match with the finest, freshest foie gras." David
