2006 Sauvignon de Touraine, Domaine des Trois Demoiselles (Stelvin)

"The Loire is Sauvignon Blanc's homeland and this wonderful example epitomises all that is good about this popular variety. Crisp, dry and grassy, this is delicious with salads or flat fish, or simply on its own.Once the only region responsible for easy drinking Sauvignon Blanc, Touraine was rocked in the late `70s and `80s by the emergence of the Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc. Knocked back, the Tourainois are gradually recovering their breath, poise and hopefully in due course their market. Dme Jean-Marie Penet are among those setting the pace."
