2006 Rudesheimer Riesling Kabinett, J. Leitz, Rheingau
|
|
"Johannes Leitz's wine is of Kabinett designation, with 30 grams of residual
sugar, but relatively high alcohol and all the extract that one would expect
from the Rheingau. Lime, slate, then hints of fig and manderin underline the
complexity here. A splendid wine, Rheingau Riesling at its best. 2006 was
indeed the year of perfect months of July and early September. Johannes is one
of those ensuring that German wines reclaim their rightful place in the vinous
hierarchy." (Simon Field MW-BBR Buyer)
