2005 Sheridan Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Andrew Will, Washington
Located just off the Washington's Yakima Valley at 360 metres above sea level on silty loam, this eleven year old vineyard has produced a medium-term drinking blend of 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and 28% Merlot. Spritely perfumed flora and fauna notes delight the nose while the palate revels in a fine cassis, satin weave and sumptuous berry underbelly; aged for 21 months in 35% new french oak. No hurry but catch it over the next 8 yrs...perfect with fowl. (David Berry Green, BBR Buyer)
