Compared to the denser, chewier 2006 vintage, 2005 is more perfumed, with
pretty herbal & crunchy red berried notes; while the light/medium bodied
palate is delightfully brisk, with red cherry stone juiciness, a preppy purity,
impressive balance & a degree of satisfaction which punches above its lowly
'Chianti' appellation. A great anytime wine, especially with tomato-based
antipasti. Yum.
