2005 L'Andéol, Rasteau, Côtes du Rhône Villages, Perrin

"Made from 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, this is a big wine from a big vintage. L'Andéol is a 5 hectare vineyard, located on the gentle slopes of Rasteau , protected from the worst excesses of the Mistral. Made traditionally, this is a great expression of Grenache, with peppers, figs and spices in the ascendant, and a finely-wrought tannic structure which shows off the considerable potential of this fine vintage."
