From five hectares in the heart of Rasteau, L’Andeol is a scenic and, as
one’s eEstate Agent may say, beautifully appointed vineyard.
South-facing, and protected from the wilder excesses of the Mistral, the vines
yield fruit of very high quality, their make-up being 60% Grenache and equal
measures of Syrah and Mourvèdre. Kirsch, forest floor and black cherry
aromatics and then a spicy palate with indulgent charcuterie notes and even
hints of dark chocolate, presuming that such a combination does not sound too
off-putting!
