2006 Gigondas, La Gille, Domaine Perrin Père et Fils

A combination of skilful husbandry in the vineyard, a vintage full of charm and accessibility, and carefully regulated fermentation temperatures has resulted in an approachable style of Gigondas, not without the power and warmth traditionally associated with both Grenache (70%) and Gigondas, but with an added elegance and pedigree that only comes from a winemaking dynasty as skilled and experienced as la famille Perrin.
