2006 Beaune Cent Vignes, 1er Cru, Domaine des Croix

David Croix brings a modern touch to one of Burgundy’s classical vineyards; there is a zesty fruitfulness which appeals immediately, but is backed by a beautifully constructed framework of gentle acidity and silky, integrated tannins. However, it is the stylish, multi-layered red summer fruit which wins through to the back of the palate, making this superb value for a Beaune Premier Cru.
