"This is the first vintage of Nolan's estate Chardonnay, a pretty wine from the cool Limestone Coast zone of Wrattonbully with its loam over lime and ironstone soils. Its pure, fresh fruit salad aromas and flavours have been captured by a shading canopy, harvesting at night and by using only 10% french oak ageing for 9 months, while lees stirring and a malolactic fermentation gives a lush, nougat-like mouthfeel.
