2006 Saint Aubin Le Charmois, 1er Cru, Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet

St Aubin is fairly evenly divided between red and white wines and both provide excellent value. The Premier Cru Le Charmois is the closest vineyard to Chassagne-Montrachet and benefits from a warm micro-climate.This is a rounded, generous white Burgundy that is starting to show all its charm. Enjoyable on its own but even better alongside a dish of pasta with a creamy, seafood sauce or a chicken fricassée.
