2007 Pulenta La Flor Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza

Pulenta are of course best known for their mastery of the malbec grape. How do they fare with that other even more significant Bordeaux variety, Cabernet Sauvignon? Very well indeed it would seem, avoiding the excesses of over-extraction on the one hand, and unripe green tannins on the other. Cassis, hints of loganberry and supple mellow tannins, distinctly Cabernet and with suitable gravitas and depth of flavour to prove it!
