2006 Condrieu Vertige, Domaine Yves Cuilleron

From a single suitably vertiginous parcel in the commune of Vernon, this Condrieu is aged for an impressive 18 months in barrique before release. The empahisis is on ripeness juxtaposed with fraicheur, manifested in an almost tropical element on the one hand, and a smoky flinty backdrop on the other. A very fine Condrieu, which would work well with red mullet or sea bass.
