2006 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, Domaine des Saumades

Freshness and balance define this wonderful wine, made predominately from Clairette, Bourboulenc and, of course, Grenache. Fermented in oak and barrel, this wine combines notes of hazelnut and nougat. Rich, distinctive and in its element alongside a turbot. (Simon Field MW, BBR Buyer)
