"From the dramatic schistous terraces of the Douro this is probably the best
table wine in Portugal. Jorge Moreira farms 25 parcels on north-facing sites, a
picturesque mosaic of indigenous varieties, principally Touriga Nacional, Tinto
Roriz and Touriga Francesca. With traditional lagare foot-trodden grapes and 16
months in new and one year old French oak, this is a heathy coincidence
of the traditional and the modern, surely Jorge's best Poiera yet. Spicy, rich,
textured, refined yet fruity, expressive yet restrained, a saucer-full of
secrets."

" A seriously elegant wine blend whose bright red fruit quality is reminiscent
of the seductive liquid essence of mulberry and dark cherry. Among the greatest
Portuguese wines at a recent tasting event at the Portuguese Embassy in London.
