Buffeted by Antarctic sou-westerlies, W.Australia's Great Southern region
represents one of their least well-known or accessible Riesling 'hot-spots'.
Frankland Estate's example clearly shows why: the nose combines a rich, freshly
squeezed limy zing with some pebbly restraint while palate's gentler, riper,
more come-hither than the angular Eden or Clare Valley examples. Drinking now
till 2011, along with some fishy titbits.
