To our mind, Ch. St. Georges, Côte Pavie is making some of the best value wine that Bordeaux has to offer. The 2007 (80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc) provides the opportunity to purchase some cracking quality drinking Claret from an 'over-performer' of the vintage. Plummy in character but with enough spice and complexity to make it more than just another drinking wine, it will certainly grace the table of many a home.
