2005 DouRosa Tinto, Quinta de la Rosa
(code: 69419B)
Sophia Bergqvist likes to keep us on our toes with the nomenclature of her
excellent range of table wines. The DouRosa, a coincidence of the name of the
property and its location, is a cuvée made up of indigenous grapes,
principally the Touriga Nacional. From the warm vintage of 2005, this wine has
power and concentration, but the elegance of aromatic and tannins that has
become the trademark of winemaker, Jorge Moreira, particularly impressive in
the Douro in a warm year. Good with roasts or hard cheeses.
