"After St Amour, Juliénas is the most northerly of the 10 village Beaujolais
Crus, therefore the nearest to the vineyards of Southern Burgundy. This 2
hectare Estate, made up of South facing schist and granite soil, was founded in
1923 , and makes some of the best wines of the entire Cru. After whole bunch
fermentation and 7 months elevage, the wine is posed, with silky red-berry
fruit harmoniously balanced, soft tannins and a lick of spice on the finish.
Very good." (Simon Field MW, BBR Buyer)
