2000 Pol Roger Rosé
|
|
"With 15% red wine added from the village of Chouilly, this is rich and yet
beautifully balanced Pol Rosé; the vin clair being made up of 60% Pinot
Noir and 40% Chardonnay. An elegant nose of red berries, summer pudding
and spice is followed by a palate which has exemplary Pinot Noir
weight, grip certainly but no lack of fruit and finesse. Rosé wine-making
has not, up to now, been at the fore-front of Pol Roger's many varied
achievements . With this vintage, it looks as if we may need to make a
re-assessment!" (Simon Field MW, BBR Buyer)
