The product of thirty vintages & benefiting from long, dry, warm Rutherglen
autumns, Campbells's Shiraz vines are able to ripen perfectly and so produce a
fine, rich if subtly scented wine redolent of sloeberries, eucalypt &
liquorice. The medium bodied palate continues the theme of elegance, with pure,
suave, fresh damson fruit, almost Grenache-like supple tannins, finely-tuned by
12 mths in new-to-three year old french and US barrels. No hurry, drinking now
till 2012 easily. Best enjoyed alongside slow-cooked braised beef.
