2007 Beaujolais, Vieilles Vignes, Alain Chatoux
The gentle giant Alain Chatoux farms at an altitude of 500 metres; his 60 + year old vines lending complexity and spicy weight to the naturally ebullient Gamay variety. 2007 is a vintage to test the best growers;  it should  therefore come as no huge surprise therefore that Alain has succeeded admirably.
