1999 was the best year in Tokaji since the outstanding 1993, with excellent
levels of botrytis and sweetness. Mezes Maly is one of the greatest of all the
First Growths, its Aszu classified at 6 puttonyos, its wines unerringly
complex, their Creotian richness enveloped in a mandarin and honied complexity
on a finely- woven bed of silk.

This is entchanting and bewitching, with orange rind and apricot fruit. Though
10 years old, it's a youngster and will undeniably bring pleasure for decades
to come.
