1989 Jacquesson,Desgorgement Tardif 2008

This Chardonnay dominated blend has a refined, delicate fruitiness and a panoply of richer, herbal and nettle nuances. On the palate the mousse is gently creamy, with a nectarine-like sweetness to the fruit, gossamer-light finesse and exquisite length. A beautiful wine. Only 48 magnums were bottled, from the vintage exactly 200 years after the French revolution. Drink this fabulous wine, and let them eat cake!
