120 magnums were bottled of this blanc de blancs from the Grand Cru Avize. It
is more nettly and leafy than the straight 1989 Dégorgement Tardif, with
a fine bruised apple quality and some waxy lemon-rind character. The palate has
fantastic freshness and zing again, with rapier-like acidity at its core yet a
softly moreish finish.
