1989 Jacquesson, Avize Grand Cru, Degorgement Tardif 2008

120 magnums were bottled of this blanc de blancs from the Grand Cru Avize. It is more nettly and leafy than the straight 1989 Dégorgement Tardif, with a fine bruised apple quality and some waxy lemon-rind character. The palate has fantastic freshness and zing again, with rapier-like acidity at its core yet a softly moreish finish.
