Product Details
2005 Valpolicella Superiore DOC Ripasso, Corte Sant'Alda, Veneto
(code: 70110B)
Corvina is widely grown on the Veneto shore of Lake Garda, and is blended with
Rondinella and Molinara to produce Valpolicella. Clearly echoing the vintage,
Marinella's Superiore brims with brisk red-berried and cherry perfume while on
the palate, the wine's momentary indulgence with the still swollen Amarone
pomace has contributed a seductive, weighty core to this classic Venetian wine.
Matured for 18 months in 14hl cherry wood barrels to preserve the wine's
integrity. Excellent with spicy, chickpea/humous, middle eastern dishes.
